Hailuo AI is MiniMax's consumer video app, sold as yearly subscription cards on hailuoai.video/subscribe. Checked on 2026-10-17, the header reads "From $9.99/mo". No card on that page shows $9.99. The yearly toggle is labeled -47%. A banner reads "MiniMax H3 & Wan 3.0 Is Live", and another reads "MiniMax H3 Is Live, 2K from $0.081/sec". The developer rates are a different page, platform.minimax.io/docs/pricing/overview. The model note is MiniMax Hailuo. This directory lists the app as hailuo. A figure neither extract printed is not observed.
Who it's for
Hailuo fits a faceless channel that wants MiniMax's own video models, plus access to other labs, on one subscribe page. Standard is the first paid yearly card. It names MiniMax H3 and H3 Max at printed per-second rates, and it names access to Veo 3.1 and Sora 2. Pro, Master, and Max repeat that access and add larger credit pools. The matching path is faceless. A product clip that needs a commercial file after generation can continue on UGC ads, with assembly in CapCut.
A presenter who was never in the shot is HeyGen. A cast-led ad from a product URL is Creatify. A named voice is ElevenLabs. Google's own studio for Veo, with its own credit pool, is Google Flow. Kling's membership is Kling. Dreamina is Seedance. A multi-model host that meters Hailuo inside someone else's credits is Runway, Luma, or Higgsfield. Those credits do not draw this subscribe balance.
Hailuo is a weak fit if you need a monthly checkout price. The yearly view shows struck amounts. A separate monthly render, with its own unstruck stickers, was not observed. It is also a weak fit if you will call the API and expect the app's $0.081 a second to be the invoice. The platform page prints different numbers.
What it does
The subscribe page is a credit plan for video, with image rows on the higher yearly cards. Free is $0.00 a month, 0 credits monthly, one-time free trial credits, and Hailuo models only. The size of the one-time trial was not observed. Paid yearly cards print a credit pool, a per-second H3 rate, and a tilde estimate of seconds of video. Standard through Max list access to Veo 3.1 and Sora 2. Free does not.
The compare table names MiniMax H3, H3 Max, Hailuo 2.3, Hailuo 2.0 (Frames), Sora 2.0 (Audio), Veo 3.1 and 3.1-Fast, and the Hailuo 1.0 family. Agent-tool rows on that table include video upscale, lip sync, music generation, and audio generation. A credit price for those rows was not observed. A watermark-removal row is present. Which plan checks it was not a clean grid in the extract, so the tier that removes the watermark is not observed.
Wan 3.0 is on the banner. A Wan rate, a Wan resolution, and a Wan credit burn were not observed on the yearly cards. Duration cells such as 4 to 15 seconds appear beside the compare models in the extract, and the text does not keep a reliable column header, so this page does not assign a duration to a plan.
Pricing tiers
Verified on 2026-10-17 against the yearly view at hailuoai.video/subscribe. The header "From $9.99/mo" is header text. It is not a plan. Standard's yearly price is $8.40 a month, which is below $9.99, and its struck amount is $14.99, which is above $9.99. Neither card is $9.99.
| Plan | Yearly card | Struck amount on that card | Credits | Notes on the card |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0.00/mo | not observed | 0 monthly | One-time free trial credits, amount not observed. Hailuo models only |
| Standard | $8.40/mo, $100.80 billed yearly, 44% OFF | $14.99 | 1,000/mo | H3 and H3 Max rates below. Access to Veo 3.1 and Sora 2 |
| Pro | $30.40/mo, $364.80 billed yearly, 45% OFF | $54.99 | 4,500/mo | Lower H3 rates, unlimited image rows, Veo 3.1 and Sora 2 |
| Master | $71.20/mo, $854.40 billed yearly, 41% OFF | $119.99 | 10,500/mo | Same H3 2K rate as Pro, larger second estimates, higher image resolutions |
| Max | $184.00/mo, $2,208.00 billed yearly | No struck price shown | 27,000/mo | Hailuo 2.0 and 2.3 unlimited, plus the image rows at the highest resolutions on this page |
Twelve times $8.40 is $100.80. Twelve times $30.40 is $364.80. Twelve times $71.20 is $854.40. Twelve times $184 is $2,208. Each billed-yearly total matches its monthly display. The struck figures are the only monthly-looking amounts on the yearly view. A monthly-toggle render with a live unstruck price was not observed. This page does not promote $14.99, $54.99, or $119.99 into a current monthly charge. Max has no struck price at all, so it has no candidate monthly sticker on this extract.
Per-second rates and the card's own second estimates, same yearly view:
| Plan | H3 2K | H3 768P | H3 Max 768P | H3 Max 480P |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $0.101/s, ~84s | $0.059/s, ~143s | $0.059/s, ~143s | $0.034/s, ~250s |
| Pro | $0.081/s, ~375s | $0.047/s, ~643s | $0.047/s, ~643s | $0.027/s, ~1125s |
| Master | $0.081/s, ~875s | $0.047/s, ~1500s | $0.047/s, ~1500s | $0.027/s, ~2625s |
| Max | $0.081/s, ~2250s | $0.047/s, ~3857s | $0.047/s, ~3857s | $0.027/s, ~6750s |
The banner "2K from $0.081/sec" matches the Pro, Master, and Max H3 2K cell. It does not match Standard's $0.101. The tilde seconds are the card's estimates. A credits-per-second formula was not observed, so this page does not convert 1,000 credits into the ~84 seconds. Some estimates sit near the monthly price divided by the printed rate, and some do not. Pro's 768P line is ~643 seconds, while $30.40 divided by $0.047 is about 647. Max's 2K line is ~2250 seconds, while $184 divided by $0.081 is about 2,272. Quote the tilde. Do not replace it with that division.
Unlimited image rows start on Pro: Nano Banana Pro 1K, Nano Banana 2 1K, Seedream 5.0 Lite 2K, Seedream 4.5 2K, GPT Image 1.5, Light Studio, and AnyAngle. Master repeats the list with Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2 at 2K. Max adds unlimited Hailuo 2.0 and 2.3, moves Nano Banana Pro, Nano Banana 2, and Seedream 4.5 to 4K, and lists Seedream 5.0 Lite at 3K. Standard does not list those unlimited image rows.
Pros
- Free states 0 monthly credits, so a $0 row is not a monthly generation allowance. The one-time trial is named even though its size was not observed.
- Every paid yearly card prints a monthly display, a billed-yearly total, and a credit pool, and each billed total equals twelve times the display.
- H3 and H3 Max rates are printed at more than one resolution, with a second estimate on the same cell, so Standard at $0.101 and Pro at $0.081 are visible before checkout.
- The header "From $9.99/mo" can be checked against the cards and rejected. No card is $9.99.
- The MiniMax platform page prints API rates in dollars per second, which keeps the app's credit plan from being the only public number.
Cons
- "From $9.99/mo" is header text. Budgeting $9.99 would invent a plan the cards do not show.
- Monthly checkout prices were not observed. The struck $14.99, $54.99, and $119.99 belong to the yearly view. Max shows no struck price.
- The card's second estimates are not a credit formula. Planning a posting calendar from ~84 seconds and 1,000 credits needs a burn the page did not print.
- App per-second rates and API per-second rates disagree. Pro's H3 2K cell is $0.081. The API's H3 2K cell is $0.13. They are different invoices.
- Wan 3.0 is on the banner and not on the rate table. Lip sync, music, and audio generation are compare rows without a copied price. Official MCP was not observed.
Usage flow
- Read the header "From $9.99/mo" as a label, then read the yearly cards. Free is $0 and 0 monthly credits, with a one-time trial of unknown size and Hailuo models only. Standard is the first paid yearly card, at $8.40 a month and $100.80 billed yearly, for 1,000 credits.
- Move up only when the pool or the rate requires it. Pro is $30.40 a month and $364.80 billed yearly for 4,500 credits, and it is the first card in this extract with the unlimited image rows and the $0.081 H3 2K rate. Master and Max raise the pool to 10,500 and 27,000 credits. Leave the struck amounts unresolved until a monthly toggle shows an unstruck price.
- If the job is an API call, leave the app plan and read the platform rates below. Finish captions in CapCut. A named voice that the app did not price is ElevenLabs.
Workflow usage
On faceless, Hailuo is the MiniMax-hosted visuals step. The credit-to-second ratio was not observed. Use the card's own tilde. Standard's H3 2K estimate is ~84 seconds at the $8.40 display. Pro's is ~375 seconds at $30.40. A 60-second 2K short sits inside the Pro estimate and outside the Standard estimate. Veo and Sora access on the paid cards have no separate burn in this extract. Count one real generation before you lock a tier.
On UGC ads, the page shows an Ads category. A commercial-use clause for app output was not observed. Creatify and HeyGen remain the cast. CapCut remains the caption pass on captions and covers. A clipper was not observed, so long-to-short stays on OpusClip. Speech-2.8 on the API is per million characters, not the video pool. A named app voice that was not priced is ElevenLabs on voice and publish.
Underlying models
MiniMax H3 and H3 Max are the rates on the yearly cards. Hailuo 2.3, Hailuo 2.0, and the Hailuo 1.0 family are on the compare table. Max is the card that says Hailuo 2.0 and 2.3 are unlimited. The family write-up, including older clip prices from an earlier fetch, is MiniMax Hailuo. Veo access on the paid cards points at Veo, on Google's meter, not on this one. Sora 2 and Sora 2.0 (Audio) are named. This directory has no Sora model page. Wan 3.0 is a banner name without a rate.
Image models on the unlimited rows include Nano Banana, Seedream, and GPT Image. They are image lines on a video subscribe page. A video credit cost for those image rows was not observed, because the card marks them unlimited on Pro and above.
API and MCP
has_api is true because MiniMax publishes a platform price list. api_url is platform.minimax.io/docs/pricing/overview. These rates are not the app cards. A subscribe credit does not, on any sentence in this extract, pay an API second.
Output video, checked 2026-10-17:
| Model | Resolution | List price |
|---|---|---|
| MiniMax-H3 | 768P | $0.08/s |
| MiniMax-H3 | 2K | $0.13/s |
| MiniMax-H3-Max | 480P | $0.05/s |
| MiniMax-H3-Max | 768P | $0.08/s |
| MiniMax-H3 regeneration | 768P to 2K | $0.05/s of regenerated output |
Input material on the same page: H3 audio is free. H3 images are free for the first five, then $0.04 an image. H3 video input is billed at $0.13/s for 2K output and $0.08/s for 768P output. H3-Max audio is free. H3-Max images are free for the first two, then $0.074 an image. H3-Max video input is $0.0553/s at 480P and $0.143/s at 768P. Regeneration bills input again: images are free for the first five, then $0.025, and video input from the original 768P task is $0.05/s. H3-Context-IR is $0.90 per million input tokens and $3.60 per million output tokens.
Speech on the same overview: speech-2.8-hd is $100 per million characters, and speech-2.8-turbo is $60 per million characters, on both the sync and the async rows. Rapid voice cloning is $1.5 per voice, charged when the cloned voice is first used for synthesis, not at cloning time. Legacy model rows continue below that H3 block. This entry does not copy them. Use MiniMax Hailuo when you need the older clip prices from the earlier fetch, and re-read the live overview before you invoice.
mcp.official is false. No official MCP server URL was observed, so there is no mcp.url.

- Kling and Seedance are the neighboring single-family apps, each with its own membership. Google Flow is the Google subscription that names Veo 3.1 and does not print a per-clip burn.
- Runway, Luma, Higgsfield, and Pika can host other labs' video inside their credits. A Hailuo second on those hosts is their rate, not the $0.08 or $0.13 on MiniMax's overview.
- HeyGen and Creatify supply a person. CapCut supplies the timeline. ElevenLabs supplies a voice the speech-2.8 row did not replace inside the app.
FAQ
Is Hailuo "from $9.99 a month"?
The header says that. No card is $9.99. Standard, the cheapest paid yearly card, is $8.40 a month and $100.80 billed yearly, with $14.99 struck. Treat $9.99 as header text.
Are the struck prices the monthly charge?
Not observed as a live monthly checkout. The struck amounts sit on the yearly view: $14.99, $54.99, and $119.99. Max has no struck price. A monthly-toggle render was not observed.
Do 1,000 Standard credits equal about 84 seconds?
The card prints 1,000 credits and, separately, H3 2K at $0.101/s for ~84s. It does not print a conversion. ~84 seconds is close to $8.40 divided by $0.101, which is a dollar estimate. Read a real generation before you treat the credit pool as those seconds.
Do app credits pay the MiniMax API?
Nothing on this pass says they do. App Pro shows H3 2K at $0.081/s. The platform overview shows MiniMax-H3 2K at $0.13/s. Speech-2.8 is per million characters.
Does Hailuo have an official MCP server?
No server URL was observed, so mcp.official is false. has_api is true because the platform overview publishes rates, and that URL is api_url. A pricing page is not an MCP endpoint.
