Google Flow is Google's AI creative studio, sold as Flow credits inside a Google AI subscription. Checked on 2026-10-17, flow.google.com/about calls it "Your AI creative studio built with Google's advanced generative models." The older labs.google/flow/about address redirects there. The pricing footnote says prices may vary by market. The page also says features may vary by subscription tier, by web versus mobile, and by region, and it marks the product 18+. A credits-per-clip figure for Veo was not observed. This note is for YouTube, TikTok, and Shorts. Home for the model, with its own API rates, is Veo.

Who it's for

Flow fits a faceless creator who wants Google's own video and image models in one studio, and who already lives in a Google account. The job on the page is text to video, frames to video, ingredients to video, video extension, video-to-video editing, and a scene builder. Characters and avatars are on the free feature list. An agent is described as built with Gemini. Tools you can build in the product include Type Overlays, Video Resizer, Image Editor, Storyboard Studio, Shader Effects, and Mockup. The matching path on this site is faceless. When the subject is a reusable character rather than a world clip, the neighboring path is AI avatar.

A timeline you drive by hand, with everyday captions and a vertical reframe, is CapCut. A presenter library with a checked credit plan is HeyGen. A named voice that is not the clip's native audio is ElevenLabs. A multi-lab credit studio that is not a Google subscription is Higgsfield, Runway, Luma, or Pika. Kling's own membership is Kling. Dreamina's Seedance ladder is Seedance.

Flow is a weak fit when the only job is clipping a long recording. That path is long-to-short, and a clipper was not observed on this page. It is also a weak fit when you need a published dollar per second before you subscribe. The cards print monthly credit pools. They do not print a burn.

What it does

Three model names lead the about page. Gemini Omni creates and edits video from any reference, real or generated. Nano Banana is the image model, described with subject consistency and text rendering. Veo 3.1 is the video model, described with native audio, physics, realism, and prompt adherence. The free included list is more specific than those headlines: Gemini Omni Flash, Nano Banana Pro, and Veo 3.1. This page keeps the headline names and the included names side by side. It does not collapse Omni Flash into Omni, or Nano Banana Pro into Nano Banana.

Free, with a Google account and no Google AI subscription, lists 50 daily Google Flow credits. The same free list names Flow Tools as usage only, plus the agent, text to video, frames to video, ingredients to video, video extension, video-to-video editing, Scenebuilder, 2K image upscaling, characters, and avatars. Plus is the first row that changes Flow Tools from usage to creation, and the first row that names 1080p video upscaling. Pro adds a line that top-up AI credits are available. The $99.99 Ultra row is the first that names 4K image and video upscaling.

This check did not open the studio. Aspect ratios, a 9:16 preset, clip length, frame rate, a watermark, a queue, and an export container were not observed. The about page does list a FAQ question, "How much does it cost to generate images and videos?" The answer text was not in the extract. That absence is why this entry refuses a per-clip credit cost.

Pricing tiers

Verified on 2026-10-17 against flow.google.com/about. The asterisk on every paid sticker points at "Prices may vary by market." Checkout in another country can show another number. A yearly toggle and a billed-yearly total were not observed. This page does not multiply a monthly sticker by twelve and call the product an annual plan.

Plan Price on the Flow page Flow credits What the card added
Free, no Google AI subscription Free of charge 50 daily Gemini Omni Flash, Nano Banana Pro, Veo 3.1, Flow Tools (usage only), agent, text to video, frames to video, ingredients to video, video extension, video-to-video editing, Scenebuilder, 2K image upscaling, characters, avatars
Google AI Plus $4.99/mo 50 daily + 200 monthly Everything in free, Flow Tools (creation), 1080p video upscaling, higher image generation limits, higher access to the agent
Google AI Pro $19.99/mo 50 daily + 1,000 monthly Everything in Plus, AI credits available as top-ups. Also listed: Gemini app with 3.1 Pro, YouTube Premium Lite, Gemini in Gmail and Docs, 5 TB total storage for Photos, Drive, and Gmail
Google AI Ultra $99.99/mo 50 daily + 10,000 monthly Everything in Pro, 4K image and video upscaling, highest image generation limits, highest access to the agent. Also listed: Gemini app with 3.1 Pro Deep Think, YouTube Premium, 20 TB storage
Google AI Ultra $199.99/mo 50 daily + 25,000 monthly Everything in the $99.99 Ultra row. Also listed: Gemini app with 3.1 Pro Deep Think, YouTube Premium, 30 TB storage

The one.google.com plans page, read the same day, corroborates Plus at $4.99 USD/mo, Pro at $19.99, Ultra 5x at $99.99, and Ultra 20x at $199.99. Its Flow credits row prints 1,000, 10,000, and 25,000 a month, which matches Pro and the two Ultra pools. Plus's 200 monthly credits were on the Flow page. That plans page also prints a separate Google Flow Music credits row, 10,000, 30,000, and 30,000. Music credits are not the video pool. A second line on the plans page says Ultra is available in more than 150 countries, while the plans FAQ says Plus, Pro, and Ultra are available in more than 140 countries and territories, with certain AI benefits limited to ages 18+. Both sentences were on the page. This entry does not merge 140 and 150 into one country count.

The daily 50 sits on every row, including Ultra. The page writes the paid grant as 50 daily plus a monthly pool. A combined monthly total, such as thirty times 50 plus the monthly pool, was not observed. Top-up pack size and top-up price on Pro were not observed. The integers behind "higher" and "highest" image limits were not observed. Whether Flow Tools creation spends the same credits as Veo was not observed.

Pros

  • Free prints 50 daily credits and names Veo 3.1, Gemini Omni Flash, and Nano Banana Pro, so a Google account can see the model list before a subscription.
  • Plus, Pro, and both Ultra rows print a dollar amount next to a monthly Flow credit pool.
  • The one.google.com plans page repeats Pro at $19.99, Ultra 5x at $99.99, Ultra 20x at $199.99, and the 1,000 / 10,000 / 25,000 Flow credit pools.
  • Plus is the row that changes Flow Tools from usage only to creation, and the row that adds 1080p video upscaling, so those two upgrades have a price.
  • The $99.99 Ultra card is explicit that 4K image and video upscaling starts there, and the $199.99 card says it includes everything in that $99.99 row.

Cons

  • Credits per generation, including credits per Veo clip, were not observed. The cost FAQ question was visible and the answer was not in the extract.
  • Prices may vary by market. A sticker in this table can differ at checkout, and a yearly price was not observed.
  • Two different products share the name Google AI Ultra, at $99.99 and $199.99. The plans page calls them Ultra 5x and Ultra 20x. The Flow page uses one name twice.
  • Pro, Plus, and Ultra are Google AI bundles. Storage, YouTube Premium, and Gemini app access sit on the same cards as Flow credits. A buyer who only wanted video still pays the bundle price.
  • No Flow API was observed. An agent that needs a key has to leave this product for the Veo surfaces on Veo. Official MCP was not observed.

Usage flow

  1. Start from a Google account and read Free as 50 daily Flow credits, with Veo 3.1, Gemini Omni Flash, and Nano Banana Pro named, and with Flow Tools marked usage only. Leave the per-clip burn unresolved until the product shows it.
  2. Move to Plus at $4.99 a month when you need Flow Tools creation, 1080p video upscaling, or the extra 200 monthly credits. Move to Pro at $19.99 when you need the 1,000 monthly pool. Open the $99.99 Ultra row for 10,000 monthly credits and 4K upscaling, or the $199.99 row for 25,000 monthly credits. Treat every sticker as a price that may vary by market.
  3. Finish outside Flow when the job is captions, a cover, or a named voice. Use CapCut on captions and covers, and ElevenLabs on voice and publish. Read API rates on Veo before you budget a developer call.

Workflow usage

On faceless, Flow is the Google-hosted visuals step. Text to video, frames to video, and ingredients to video are the generation names on the free list. ElevenLabs is the voice booth when Veo 3.1 native audio is the wrong read. CapCut is the assembly bench. A weekly Shorts quota cannot be matched to Plus or Pro until you see a real burn, because that burn was not observed. After the first clip, compare the debit with the monthly pools: 200, 1,000, 10,000, or 25,000, on top of the 50 daily credits every row lists.

On AI avatar, Characters and Avatars are named on the free list. A stock-avatar count, a language list, and a lip-sync price were not observed. HeyGen remains the checked presenter plan. A URL-to-ad cast is Creatify on UGC ads. A commercial-use sentence for Flow output was not observed.

A clipper and a caption burn were not observed. Type Overlays is a buildable animated-text tool, and it has no language count. When the words or the cover fail, move the file to CapCut on captions and covers. Long-to-short stays on a clipper.

Underlying models

Veo 3.1 is the video model named on the page, including on the free included list. Behavior, duration, aspect, and the Gemini and Vertex prices belong on Veo. This tool page does not copy those per-second rates into a Flow credit. Gemini Omni and Gemini Omni Flash are named here and do not have a separate model page in this directory. Nano Banana and Nano Banana Pro are the image names and do not have a model page here either.

Kling, Seedance, Luma Ray, MiniMax Hailuo, Runway Gen, and Higgsfield were not observed inside Flow. A host that prints several of those names on one bill is Runway or Higgsfield. Their credits do not spend a Google Flow balance.

API and MCP

has_api is false. No Flow API, no base URL, no auth scheme, and no docs URL were observed on 2026-10-17, so this entry sets no api_url. Veo on the Gemini API and on Vertex is a different door. Those rates live on Veo. Copying a Gemini price onto a Flow credit would invent a conversion the Flow page did not print.

mcp.official is false. No official MCP server URL was observed, so there is no mcp.url. The in-product agent is a studio partner built with Gemini. It is not an address a desktop client can add. Guessing a path on flow.google.com would invent an endpoint.

For a callable video API with a stored URL, use Runway, Kling, Luma, or Higgsfield. A Flow login does not authenticate those keys.

Similar tools

  • Runway and Higgsfield are multi-model studios with a public API. Higgsfield also has an official MCP server. Flow is the Google subscription, and its developer rates stay on Veo.
  • Kling and Seedance are single-family memberships with their own credit ladders. Luma prices Ray on an app plan and on an API page. Pika prints a credit burn for one spec. Flow did not print that kind of burn.
  • HeyGen is the presenter studio when Characters and Avatars on the free list are not enough. CapCut is the timeline after the clip exists. ElevenLabs is the voice when native audio is the wrong read.

FAQ

How many Flow credits does one Veo clip cost?

Not observed. The pools are in the table. The cost FAQ was on the about page, and the answer text was not in the 2026-10-17 extract. Read the balance after a real generation.

Is there a yearly Google Flow price?

A yearly price was not observed. The stickers are monthly, and the footnote says they may vary by market.

Why are there two Google AI Ultra prices?

Both rows are named Google AI Ultra. The $99.99 row has 10,000 monthly credits and adds 4K upscaling. The $199.99 row has 25,000 monthly credits and includes everything in the $99.99 row. The plans page labels those stickers Ultra 5x and Ultra 20x.

Does Google Flow have an API or an official MCP server?

No Flow API was observed, so has_api is false and there is no api_url. No MCP server URL was observed, so mcp.official is false. Gemini and Vertex rates stay on Veo.

Can I open Flow without a Google AI subscription?

Yes. The free row is a Google account, 50 daily credits, and it lists Veo 3.1, Gemini Omni Flash, and Nano Banana Pro. Flow Tools on that row are usage only. Creation starts on Plus at $4.99 a month. The plans FAQ says Plus, Pro, and Ultra are in more than 140 countries, with some benefits limited to ages 18+. A separate line says Ultra is in more than 150 countries.
