Kapwing is a browser editor for captions, a timeline, text to speech, dubbing, and repurposed clips. Checked on 2026-10-17, the default view of kapwing.com/pricing rendered in a browser. The product host is kapwing.com. A Monthly / Annual toggle is labeled "SAVE 33%." This render could not switch it. Free shows $0, Pro shows $16, Business shows $50, and Enterprise is Contact Sales. Which billing mode the $16 and the $50 represent, and whether either figure is per member, were not confirmed. This note is for an editor who needs that caveat in the same sentence as the sticker. A figure the extract did not print is not observed.
Who it's for
Kapwing fits a person or a small group who will edit in the browser and can read a credit pool next to a minute cap. Free still carries a watermark, a 4-minute export, and 720p. Pro is marked most popular, with 1,000 credits a month, no watermark, and 4K. Business adds custom voice clones, lip sync videos, and a larger dubbing cap. Enterprise is custom credits and SSO.
Paid feature lists say "for your team workspace." The Pro subtitle says "individuals and small groups." A per-member phrase was not printed. Multiply nothing until checkout shows the unit.
A phone-first caption edit is Captions. A yearly per-user browser bill this directory could separate from a monthly sticker is VEED. A transcript editor is Descript. The hand timeline is CapCut. Clip proposers are OpusClip, Klap, and Vizard. Named speech rates are ElevenLabs and Murf AI. A cover is Canva.
The paths are long-to-short, captions and covers, and, when the job is the read or the dub, voice and publish.
What it does
The cards meter work with credits and, beside them, minute caps. Free lists 10 credits, not "10 credits a month." Pro lists 1,000 credits a month. Business lists 4,000 a month. Enterprise lists a custom amount. The card says credits are usable for the caps below. It does not print a credits-per-minute rate. The pool and the cap stay two fields.
Free includes unlimited exports with a watermark, exports up to 4 minutes, 720p, 5 GB, auto-subtitling up to 10 minutes, and text to speech up to 1 minute. Pro adds no watermark, uploads up to 6 GB, 4K, unlimited projects, project exports up to 2 hours, a brand kit and custom fonts, a shared workspace, 200 GB, auto-subtitling up to 1,000 minutes a month, and dubbing up to 50 minutes a month. Business adds custom voice clones, lip sync videos, the ability to buy additional credits, 800 GB, auto-subtitling up to 4,000 minutes a month, and dubbing up to 200 minutes a month. The price of additional credits was not observed.
Enterprise adds custom billing, an account manager, priority support, onboarding, SAML SSO, custom storage, and custom amounts of subtitling, dubbing, and generative AI. No Enterprise dollar was observed.
The menu names tools the cards do not price one by one: a subtitler, speaker focus, an audio editor, repurpose studio, resize, trim with transcript, dubbing into 40+ languages, transcribe, a script generator, B-roll, clean audio, a clip maker, character consistency, a video generator, and smart cut for silences. Those are labels. Plan gates beyond the credit lines were not observed. The language list behind "40+" was not observed. No model name sits under the video generator on this extract.
The FAQ says the tools are available for free, that you may try them before upgrading, and that Kapwing does not currently offer a free trial for paid plans. A heading asks whether an annual option exists. The answer was collapsed, so the annual dollar was not observed there. API and MCP were not observed.
Pricing tiers
Verified on 2026-10-17 at kapwing.com/pricing. The dollars are the default view. This table does not label $16 or $50 as monthly, annual, per member, or per workspace.
| Plan | Shown on the default view | Pool and caps on the card |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 10 credits; watermark; exports up to 4 min; 720p; 5 GB; auto-subtitling up to 10 min; TTS up to 1 min |
| Pro | $16 | 1,000 credits/mo; no watermark; uploads 6 GB; 4K; projects up to 2 hours; brand kit; shared workspace; 200 GB; auto-subtitling up to 1,000 min/mo; dubbing up to 50 min/mo |
| Business | $50 | 4,000 credits/mo; custom voice clones; lip sync; buy additional credits; 800 GB; auto-subtitling up to 4,000 min/mo; dubbing up to 200 min/mo |
| Enterprise | Contact Sales | Custom credits, SSO, account manager, custom subtitling and dubbing |
Annual is labeled SAVE 33%. This page does not compute a second sticker from 33 percent. A discount on an unconfirmed base would be an invented price.
Pro's subtitle cap and credit pool are both 1,000, and that pair is still not a rate. Dubbing on the same row is 50 minutes. Business pairs 4,000 credits with 4,000 subtitle minutes and 200 dubbing minutes. Free pairs 10 credits with 10 subtitle minutes and 1 minute of speech. A seat multiplier was not observed. Tax was not observed.
Pros
- Free prints credits, a watermark, a 4-minute export, 720p, storage, and two minute caps.
- Pro and Business print pools next to subtitle caps and dubbing caps.
- Business names voice clones and lip sync on the $50 card, so those features have a tier.
- The FAQ says paid plans have no free trial, and that the free tools are how you try the product.
- Enterprise names SSO and an account manager without a fake dollar.
Cons
- The billing mode of $16 and $50 was not confirmed. A month and a year cannot be told apart from this render.
- The per-member unit was not confirmed. Team-workspace language is not a headcount price.
- Additional-credit prices were not observed.
- The clip maker, the video generator, and smart cut are menu names. Their plan gates and models were not observed.
- API and MCP were not observed.
Usage flow
- Stay on Free if a watermark, 720p, a 4-minute export, 10 credits, 10 subtitle minutes, and 1 minute of text to speech are enough. There is no paid-plan trial. The FAQ says the free tools are the trial.
- The Pro figure on the default view is $16, for 1,000 credits a month, no watermark, 4K, and dubbing up to 50 minutes. The Business figure is $50, for 4,000 credits, voice clones, lip sync, or dubbing up to 200 minutes. Confirm at checkout whether the dollar is monthly or annual, and whether it is per person.
- If a clip meter should propose the range, use OpusClip, Klap, or Vizard, then return here or to CapCut. A cover goes to Canva.
Workflow usage
On long-to-short, Kapwing is the browser bench. Repurpose studio and the clip maker are menu names. A clip allowance like Klap's pools, or Vizard's minutes, was not observed. The priced caps are export length, subtitle minutes, and dubbing minutes. CapCut is the other bench. Descript is the transcript. The compare is best AI clip makers.
On captions and covers, auto-subtitling is capped at 10 minutes on Free, 1,000 minutes a month on Pro, and 4,000 on Business. Safe zones and cover templates were not observed. Captions is the cross-product page. That matrix omitted Kapwing until a tool page existed. This page is the pricing record. It does not rewrite the matrix. Covers go to Canva.
On voice and publish, Free is a 1-minute speech cap, Pro dubs up to 50 minutes a month, and Business dubs up to 200 plus voice clones. A per-character price was not observed. ElevenLabs and Murf AI print speech rates. Text to speech is the feature page. Lip sync on Business has no model name. A studio built around a mouth is Hedra or HeyGen. Trim-with-transcript sits next to Descript, and a Kapwing minute price for that trim was not observed.
Underlying models
No video model and no speech model was named on the pricing extract. The menu says "AI Models" and points at a page this check did not open. Character consistency, the video generator, B-roll, lip sync, and voice clones are labels without vendor ids. When the face, the voice, or the shot has to be a named system, leave Kapwing's credits for the edit and buy that system on its own card.
API and MCP
has_api is false. mcp.official is false. The extract did not print a docs link, a base URL, a rate limit, or an MCP server. There is no api_url and no mcp.url. Enterprise's custom row does not say API.
A printed speech API is ElevenLabs or the rates on Murf AI. Klap names an MCP link without a URL. Riverside names Riverside MCP on Grow. CapCut had no public creator API on its check. A Kapwing login does not authenticate those products.
Similar tools
- VEED showed Creator at $10 per user a month billed yearly as $125, and Pro at $20 billed as $234. Kapwing's $16 and $50 are default-view figures whose billing mode was not confirmed, so the stickers are not yet the same kind of number.
- CapCut is the timeline this directory already recommends. Descript edits by text. Captions is the phone.
- OpusClip, Klap, and Vizard propose clips. Kapwing's clip maker has no clip pool on this card.
- ElevenLabs and Murf AI are the voice rate cards. Canva is the cover. HeyGen is a presenter when Business lip sync is not a documented avatar.
FAQ
Is Pro $16 a month or $16 a year?
Not observed. The default view shows $16 and $50. The toggle offers Monthly and Annual, with SAVE 33% on Annual, and this check could not switch it. A per-member unit was not observed. Checkout is the charge.
Can I trial Pro before paying?
No. The FAQ says Kapwing does not currently offer a free trial for paid plans. The free card is the way to try the tools: 10 credits, a watermark, exports up to 4 minutes, 720p, 5 GB, auto-subtitling up to 10 minutes, and text to speech up to 1 minute.
What does one credit buy?
The card does not print a rate. It places 10 credits next to 10 subtitle minutes and 1 speech minute, 1,000 credits next to 1,000 subtitle minutes and 50 dubbing minutes, and 4,000 credits next to 4,000 subtitle minutes and 200 dubbing minutes. Those pairs are caps, not a credits-per-minute price.
Which plan has voice clones, lip sync, and an API?
Business, shown at $50 on the default view, lists custom voice clones, lip sync videos, and additional credits. The additional-credit price was not observed. Dubbing starts on Pro, at 50 minutes a month. API and MCP were not observed, so has_api is false and mcp.official is false.
