Klap sells generated clips. The line on the pricing page is "Only pay for clips you generate." Checked on 2026-10-17, klap.app/pricing rendered twice, once on Monthly and once on Yearly. The product host is klap.app. The footer names the company as ZIGG SAS doing business as Klap. This note is for someone who already has a long video and wants a clip count, both stickers, and a footer that mentions an API and an MCP server. A figure the extract did not print is not observed.

Who it's for

Klap fits a creator who wants the product to generate shorts and will budget in clips per month. Basic is labeled for individuals, at 100 clips. Pro is labeled for professionals, marked Popular, at 300. Pro+ is labeled for teams, at 1,000. "For teams" is a label. A seat count and a per-seat price were not observed.

The same job with a credit pool and a named auto-post list is OpusClip. Caption-first shorts on a per-member meter are Submagic. A minute-credit clipper with a free row is Vizard. A timeline you mark yourself is CapCut. A transcript editor is Descript. A cover is Canva. Create-and-publish shorts that do not start from a long master are Revid.

Use long-to-short while the source is a long file. When the clip still needs type or a cover, continue on captions and covers. The wider set is best AI clip makers.

What it does

A plan buys a monthly clip allowance. Every plan includes AI Clipping, unlimited social accounts, and analytics. "Need more? Let's talk!" is the overage path. A dollar price past the allowance was not observed.

What one clip lasts, in seconds or in source minutes, was not observed. This page does not turn 100 clips into an hour of podcast. Unlimited social accounts does not name the networks, and analytics does not publish a score formula. A free tier, a watermark rule, and an export resolution were not observed. The editor was not opened, so fonts, reframe controls, and export containers are not observed as well.

The footer claims "8.5M clips made by 3.5M creators." That is the vendor's count. This directory did not audit it. The same footer lists API Docs, API, an MCP server, and the integration names Zapier, Make, and n8n. It also lists "Become an affiliate." This page does not link an affiliate program. The URLs behind API Docs and the MCP server were not observed.

Pricing tiers

Verified on 2026-10-17 at klap.app/pricing. Monthly figures are the monthly toggle. Yearly figures are the yearly toggle. Checkout in another currency was not observed.

Plan Monthly toggle Yearly toggle Clips
Basic, for individuals $29/mo $14/mo, billed yearly 100/mo
Pro, Popular, for professionals $79/mo $39/mo, billed yearly 300/mo
Pro+, for teams $189/mo $94/mo, billed yearly 1,000/mo

The pools do not change between toggles. A yearly invoice total was not observed. Our multiplication, not a Klap invoice: twelve times $14, $39, and $94 is $168, $468, and $1,128, and twelve times the monthly stickers is $348, $948, and $2,268. None of those products was printed as a bill.

The yearly control says "Save 50%." Half of $29, $79, and $189 is $14.50, $39.50, and $94.50. The yearly cards print $14, $39, and $94, which is $0.50 under each half. This page keeps the label and the stickers separate. It does not call the sticker a measured 50 percent off. Tax was not observed.

Pros

  • Each row prints a monthly price, a yearly per-month price, and a clip pool.
  • The pools stay 100, 300, and 1,000 when the toggle moves.
  • AI Clipping, unlimited social accounts, and analytics are on every row, so they are not an upsell between Basic and Pro+.
  • The footer names API Docs and an MCP server on the same page as the prices.
  • Zapier, Make, and n8n are named, which is enough to know the vendor claims those connections.

Cons

  • A clip's length was not observed. One hundred clips might be one hundred hooks or one hundred long excerpts.
  • "Billed yearly" sits under a per-month rate and does not show the invoice.
  • "Save 50%" sits $0.50 a month under a strict half on every row.
  • A free tier, a watermark, and a resolution were not observed, so a zero-dollar test cannot be planned from this card.
  • The API docs URL, the MCP URL, and any API unit price were not observed.

Usage flow

  1. Start from a long video you have the right to cut. Read monthly as $29, $79, and $189 for 100, 300, and 1,000 clips. Read yearly as $14, $39, and $94 a month, billed yearly, and leave the invoice total to checkout.
  2. Stay on the pool you will generate. "Need more? Let's talk!" is the path past 1,000 clips, and that path has no printed dollar.
  3. Finish type or a cover in CapCut or Canva. For a named auto-post list, read OpusClip. For a minute credit and a free row, read Vizard.

Workflow usage

On long-to-short, Klap is a batch clipper priced in clips. OpusClip prints 60, 150, and 300 credits and names auto-post to YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels on Starter. Submagic prints a per-member price and a duration line. CapCut is the bench when you already know the in and out. Because a Klap clip has no printed duration, an hour of source cannot pick the plan. Generate one batch, read the counter, then match that burn to 100, 300, or 1,000.

On captions and covers, Klap did not print a font, a language count, or a cover template. Burned-in type is compared on captions. When the words still fail, move the file to CapCut or VEED. A new narration is voice and publish, on ElevenLabs or Murf AI, and it is not part of the clip allowance until Klap prints a voice price.

Vizard is the alternative when the credit is defined as one minute. Klap is the alternative when you accept a clip count with no minute map.

Underlying models

No video model and no speech model was named on the 2026-10-17 renders. AI Clipping is a feature name, not a model id. This page does not list Klap as a host for a generator documented elsewhere. When a cutaway has to be a named video model, generate it in a tool that prints the model, then bring the file back. When the speaker has to be a named voice, buy that voice on its own card. Those hops spend a different meter.

API and MCP

has_api is true because the footer lists API Docs and API. mcp.official is true because the same footer lists an MCP server link. The renders did not print the URL behind either label, so this entry sets no api_url and no mcp.url. Auth, routes, rate limits, and a per-call price were not observed. Which plan may call the API was not observed. The three cards do not split access by tier. Guessing a path on klap.app would invent an endpoint.

Zapier, Make, and n8n are names in that footer. Their listing pages were not opened, so triggers and actions are not observed.

A printed speech MCP URL lives on ElevenLabs. OpusClip markets Video MCP without a server URL. Riverside names Riverside MCP on Grow, also without a URL in its extract. A Klap key does not authenticate those products.

Similar tools

  • OpusClip has Free at $0 for 60 credits, Starter at $15, and Pro at $29 or $174 billed annually. Its credit-to-minute map was not fully itemized. Klap's meter is clips, and the clip length was not observed.
  • Vizard defines a credit as one minute and prints a free row. Submagic is caption-first and per member.
  • CapCut is the timeline. Descript edits the transcript. VEED is the browser editor whose yearly view was priced. Revid creates shorts from a worker plan. Canva makes the cover.

FAQ

Is yearly Basic $14 or $168?

The yearly card shows $14 a month, billed yearly, for the same 100 clips as the $29 monthly card. A single yearly invoice was not observed. Our multiplication of twelve times $14 is $168, and that product was not printed. Pro and Pro+ follow the same pattern at $39 and $94 a month.

Does "Save 50%" match the stickers?

The yearly toggle is labeled Save 50%. Half of the monthly prices would be $14.50, $39.50, and $94.50. The yearly cards print $14, $39, and $94. This page reports both and does not treat the label as a second price.

How long is one clip, and is there a free plan?

Clip length, a free tier, a watermark, and a resolution were not observed. The meter is 100, 300, or 1,000 clips a month. The vendor's 8.5 million clips and 3.5 million creators are a footer claim, not a free allowance.

Does Klap have an API and an official MCP server?

The footer lists API Docs, API, and an MCP server, so has_api is true and mcp.official is true. The URLs were not observed on 2026-10-17, so there is no api_url and no mcp.url. An API unit price was not observed.
