Higgsfield is a creator studio that sits in front of many video and image models, including its own Soul and DoP lines and third-party families such as Seedance, Kling, Wan, Veo, and Sora. For a Shorts or TikTok workflow it is a place to generate the shot, the character, or the product still, not the place you usually burn final captions. The company states that higgsfield.ai is the only site where you sign in, generate, and pay, with the API console at open.higgsfield.ai, docs at docs.higgsfield.ai, and an official MCP connector.
This note records what the pricing page and the official help center showed on 2026-10-16. Model menus move. If a card no longer lists a model named here, trust the live card.
Who it's for
Higgsfield fits faceless channels and performance-ad testers who want more than one model without opening five vendor accounts. A Shorts editor who needs a cinematic b-roll shot, a still of a product, and a talking character in the same afternoon can stay inside one credit balance. The pricing page itself asks whether you are making social videos, talking-avatar videos, UGC and product ads, marketing photos, or cinematic clips, which is a fair map of the audience.
It is a poor fit when the deliverable is a carefully captioned vertical edit of footage you already shot. That finish still belongs in CapCut. It is a poor fit when the deliverable is a licensed stock avatar reading a translated script for a training library. HeyGen is built for that. It is a poor fit when you only need a voice track. ElevenLabs is the voice product. Higgsfield earns its place when the scarce thing is the picture, and you want to swap models without rewriting the stack.
Agencies comparing a shared credit pool should read the Teams row before buying several Ultra seats. Solo creators who only need Seedance 2.0 Fast or Mini are the people the Starter card describes. Plus and Ultra are the cards that say "access to all models."
What it does
The product generates images and video from prompts, references, and frames, and it exposes character, ads, and lip-sync tools. The pricing comparison checked on 2026-10-16 lists per-generation credit costs for a long set of models. Examples printed on that page include Seedance 2.0 at about 22 credits per 5 seconds at 720p, about 60 credits per 5 seconds at 1080p, and about 110 credits per 5 seconds at 4K; Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p at about 12 credits per 5 seconds; Kling 3.0 at 720p at about 7 credits per 5 seconds; and Higgsfield DoP Lite, Standard, and Turbo rated in credits per 3 seconds. Soul 2.0 is listed at 0.12 credits per image. These are credit prices, not dollar prices. The dollar cost depends on which plan bought the credit.
The page also describes unlimited windows on selected models for higher plans. Plus and Ultra showed 7-day unlimited on Wan 3.0 and 3.0 Prime, Nano Banana 2 at 2K, and Kling 3.0, with Ultra adding Nano Banana Pro at 2K. A business block advertised 30-day unlimited Seedance 2.5 on business plans only. The same page says unlimited models and free generations are available only on higgsfield.ai. They are not available on MCP, CLI, Canvas, or Supercomputer. That sentence matters more than the marketing word "unlimited," because an agent workflow does not inherit the perk.
Ads Studio, an AI influencer flow, lip-sync, and a UGC builder show up in the plan and help material. This directory did not re-test image quality. The claim here is only that those product surfaces are part of the commercial offer.
Pricing tiers
Verified on 2026-10-16 against higgsfield.ai/pricing. The page was showing annual billing, with monthly figures struck through on some cards. Prices exclude VAT and local taxes. Unlimited use may slow down when traffic is high. New models can roll out unevenly.
| Plan | Price observed | Credits and access observed |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Listed as free, "limited use" | A single stable free-credit number was not observed. One older extract of the page disagreed with itself. Do not budget a free grant. |
| Starter | $19 per month, billed annually | 270 credits per month. The card equated that with 135 Nano Banana Pro generations and about 15 Seedance 2.0 Fast videos. Access to Seedance 2.0 Fast and 2.0 Mini, and to selected models only. Parallel generations up to 2 videos and 4 images. |
| Plus | $47 per month billed annually, shown beside $59. The card said save $144 compared to monthly. | 1,200 credits per month. Access to all Seedance models and to all models and features. 7-day unlimited on selected models, not including Nano Banana Pro. |
| Ultra | $99 per month billed annually, shown beside $129. The card said save $360 compared to monthly. | A credit control showed 3,000, 6,000, and 9,000. Treat the dollar figure as the annual Ultra sticker, and confirm which credit step checkout selects. All-model access, plus Nano Banana Pro in the 7-day unlimited set. |
| Teams | From $65 per seat per month | 2 to 15 seats, starting from 1,000 credits per seat per month, up to 37,500 credits per month pooled. Shared workspace. Save up to 30 percent with annual billing. 30-day unlimited Seedance 2.5 was marked business-plan only. |
Credit packs also exist at higgsfield.ai/credits. A check of that page listed packs from $5 for 80 credits through $80 for 1,700 credits, valid 90 days, and it said a subscription is required. Pack math changes. Re-open the page before you buy a top-up. The $5 to $80 ladder is enough to show that overage is a paid add-on, not a silent meter.
Individual plans are for one creator. Business plans (Team, Scale, Enterprise) are the shared-workspace path. Scale and Enterprise dollar amounts beyond the "from $65" Teams line were not observed as a full rate card in this pass.
Pros
- One subscription reaches many model families. The pricing table names Seedance, Kling, Wan, Veo, Sora, Soul, and DoP with credit rates, so a faceless test can swap models without a new vendor login.
- Official API and official MCP both exist, with public URLs, which is rare among creator studios that started as websites.
- Plus at 1,200 credits and Starter at 270 credits are fixed grants, so a light poster can estimate a month of Kling 3.0 or Seedance Fast shots from the table.
- The help center is explicit that unlimited and free generations do not apply on MCP or CLI. That prevents a nasty surprise when an agent burns the balance the website seemed to waive.
- Teams pools credits across 2 to 15 seats, which matches an ad pod better than eight personal logins.
Cons
- The Free credit grant was not a stable number on the page extract. You cannot plan a zero-dollar channel on a figure this directory did not see.
- Ultra's credit step (3,000, 6,000, or 9,000) was a control next to one annual price. Confirm the step at checkout rather than assuming 9,000 is included in $99.
- Annual prices are the ones the page emphasized. Monthly Plus and Ultra were visible as struck figures ($59 and $129), but a full monthly feature matrix was not re-read line by line.
- Unlimited windows are short on flagship models (7 days appeared often) and they are web-only. A production agent job still pays credits.
- Credit rates on the comparison table use tildes on many rows ("~22 credits/5s"). Those are planning estimates printed by the vendor, and the realized charge can differ by settings.
Usage flow
- Pick the model on higgsfield.ai for the shot you need, read the credit estimate, and generate a short vertical test before you commit a batch.
- Keep winners, and only then run a batch. If an agent will do the batch, connect the official MCP and expect credits to move on every clip.
- Download the files and finish captions, pacing, and the cover in CapCut. Do not treat the generation as the posted video.
Workflow usage
On the faceless workflow (faceless), Higgsfield is the model switchboard. A channel that posts cinematic b-roll, a narrated list, or a product montage can try Seedance 2.0 Fast on Starter, then move to Kling 3.0 or Seedance 2.5 on Plus when the look is the bottleneck. Voice still comes from ElevenLabs or another speech tool. Higgsfield does not replace the script.
On UGC ads (ugc-ads), the pricing page calls out UGC, product video, and talking avatars, and the product has an ads studio. That makes Higgsfield a test bench next to Creatify. Creatify is the tighter URL-to-ad product. Higgsfield is the broader model bench when the winning ad depends on a specific generator, including Kling or Seedance, rather than on a stock actor library.
Underlying models
Higgsfield is not one model. The pricing page itemizes third-party and first-party models together. First-party names observed there include Higgsfield DoP (Lite, Standard, Turbo), Soul, Soul 2.0, and Soul Inpaint. Third-party names observed there include Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Fast, Seedance 1.5, Seedance Pro, Kling 3.0, Kling Omni, Kling 2.6, Kling 2.5 Turbo, Kling 2.1, Wan 2.6, Wan 3.0, Wan 3.0 Prime, Sora 2, Google Veo 3 and 3.1, Minimax Hailuo, and several image models (Nano Banana, Flux, Seedream, GPT Image). That list is what the comparison table printed. It is not a contract that every name stays, and it is not a quality ranking.
For the model itself, see the Seedance and Kling product notes on Seedance and Kling. Running Seedance inside Higgsfield bills Higgsfield credits, not Dreamina credits.
API and MCP
Both are official. Verified on 2026-10-16.
The API docs at docs.higgsfield.ai say to send requests to https://api.higgsfield.ai with Authorization: Key YOUR_KEY_ID:YOUR_KEY_SECRET. Generation is asynchronous: you receive a request id and poll a status URL or use a webhook. Python and Node SDKs are documented. A status notice on status.higgsfield.ai, dated in this check, said platform.higgsfield.ai is being deprecated as an API host and callers should use api.higgsfield.ai by 2026-10-31.
The official MCP connector URL, printed in the help center and on higgsfield.ai/mcp, is https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp. The help center says any other URL is not Higgsfield. MCP uses the signed-in account and plan credits. It does not use an API key. Unlimited access and free generations do not apply, so MCP, CLI, Canvas, and Supercomputer deduct credits at standard rates. ChatGPT is directed to the official plugin rather than a hand-pasted URL.
API dollar pricing separate from the subscription was not observed as a public rate card in this pass. Assume the documented credit or account billing until a price table says otherwise.
Similar tools
- Runway is the other multi-model creative suite with an official MCP and a published API credit price of $0.01. Pick Runway when you want Gen-4.5 and Aleph in a timeline-oriented suite. Pick Higgsfield when the model menu and the ads or character tools are the reason you showed up.
- Kling is the direct vendor for Kling video, with a public API unit price. Use Kling's own API if you only run Kling and you want Kuaishou's unit card. Use Higgsfield if Kling is one model among several.
- Seedance, via Dreamina, is ByteDance's own creator entry for that model family, with its own subscription. Compare Dreamina's per-second "from" price with Higgsfield's credit table before you double-pay.
- Creatify is narrower and more ad-shaped. It is the better default when the input is a product URL and the output is a UGC ad, not a model playground.
FAQ
Does the unlimited Kling or Seedance toggle work in Claude through MCP?
No. Higgsfield's pricing page and help center both say unlimited models and free generations work on higgsfield.ai only. MCP and CLI deduct credits. A 7-day unlimited window is a website perk, not an agent perk.
How many free credits do I get?
Not observed as one stable number on 2026-10-16. The Free column existed and was labeled limited use. Budget as if the free grant might be zero until you see the number inside a signed-in account.
Is the API the same balance as the website plan?
The docs describe a key-based API at api.higgsfield.ai, and the MCP path explicitly uses plan credits. This check did not open a billing page that states whether API usage and website credits are one wallet or two. Treat that split as not observed, and read the dashboard before you automate a large job.
Which plan unlocks every model?
The Plus and Ultra cards said access to all models and features. Starter said selected models, with Seedance 2.0 Fast and Mini named. If you need Seedance 2.5 specifically, the Plus card is the first individual plan that said "all Seedance models."
