Seedance is a ByteDance video model family, not a timeline editor. Creators searching the name usually want a place to type a prompt, attach references, and download a clip. The English creator app checked for this entry is Dreamina at dreamina.capcut.com. CapCut is a second paid path, where Seedance is a credit spend inside an editor. This page files the model under a tool slug because that is how Shorts, TikTok, and YouTube teams look it up, and the body keeps the model-versus-product split explicit.
A China-market app in the same family is often called Jimeng. Its price was not on the English Dreamina pricing page opened on 2026-10-16, so it is not quoted here. Third-party API hosts that resell Seedance are also outside this entry. Their rates are not Dreamina's rates.
Who it's for
Dreamina fits a faceless channel that needs generated b-roll more than it needs a caption timeline. A YouTube creator who writes a script, generates ten-second shots, and then cuts them elsewhere is the core reader. A TikTok editor who wants an official Seedance account, rather than a reseller toggle inside another studio, is the other. Teams that already live in CapCut and only need an occasional Seedance cutaway should read CapCut before they buy a Dreamina plan, because the credit ladders are not the same product.
It is a weak fit when the deliverable is a stock avatar reading a product script. That job is closer to HeyGen or Creatify. It is a weak fit when the deliverable is a cloned voice with no picture. That job is ElevenLabs. It is a reasonable fit when you want to compare Seedance against Kling, Wan, or Veo in one credit wallet, but that comparison is what Higgsfield and Runway sell. Dreamina's pricing page leads with official Seedance access, not with a menu of rival labs.
Solo posters who generate a handful of shots a month can start on Basic if the first-month offer is still on the card. Channels that burn hundreds of ten-second clips are the Advanced and Ultra audience, and they should treat the page's own "videos per month" line as an estimate at 10 seconds, not as a promise that every prompt returns a usable take.
What it does
Dreamina generates images and video from prompts and references, then offers export benefits such as watermark removal, longer clips, higher resolution, frame rates up to 60 FPS, lip-sync audio generations, and a faster queue. Those items are printed as plan benefits on the pricing page checked on 2026-10-16. A cell-by-cell matrix of which benefit starts on Basic was not copied beyond the bullets under each card, so do not assume a feature is missing from Basic just because a marketing sentence is shorter.
The same cards name image models beside the video model: Seedream 4.0, Seedream 4.1, Seedream 4.5, Image 5.0, Image 4.6, and GPT Image 2.5. Some Seedream 4.1 and 4.5 lines say one-year free unlimited generation for users who subscribed before 15 December 2025. That date is in the past relative to this check. A new signup on 2026-10-16 should not treat those legacy lines as their own entitlement. Other lines say free Image 5.0 and Image 4.6 generation for one year, at 2K on Basic and Standard and at 4K on Advanced and Ultra. Read the card at checkout before you count on a free image allotment.
Seedance itself is the video system. The pricing page's per-second floor is "Seedance 2.5 from $0.04/sec" on the banner above Basic, Standard, and Advanced, and "Seedance 2.5 from $0.05/sec" above Ultra. Those are starting rates, not a full duration-and-resolution table. Maximum clip length was not printed on the pricing page, so it is not observed here.
Pricing tiers
Verified on 2026-10-16 against dreamina.capcut.com/pricing/dreamina-price. The page rendered in USD. Other currencies were not compared. A banner said "90% OFF — Limited Time: Ends October 23" and "Get 90% OFF your first month." The individual cards do not all say 90 percent. Basic is labeled 90% OFF. Standard, Advanced, and Ultra are labeled 40% OFF. Quote the card you are buying.
| Plan | First month, then renewal | Credits printed | Page's own 10-second video estimate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | USD 1.50, then USD 15.00/month | 1,575 / month | 19 videos |
| Standard | USD 22.00, then USD 36.00/month | 3,885 / month | 48 videos |
| Advanced | USD 95.00, then USD 159.00/month | 17,600 / month on the selected step | 220 videos |
| Ultra | USD 312.00, then USD 520.00/month | 59,000 / month | 737 videos |
Every paid card says the subscription renews automatically and can be canceled. Each card also says "Official Seedance access."
Advanced shows a credit selector labeled 8.6K, 17.6K, 23.5K, and 35.5K, and the text under the selector read 17,600 credits per month next to the USD 95 then USD 159 price. Separate prices for the other selector steps were not observed. Do not multiply 17,600 by the ratio of those steps and call it a price.
The cards print a credit rate of USD 1 = 1,050 credits on Basic, 177 on Standard, 185 on Advanced, and 189 on Ultra. Those ratios match the first-month price divided into the monthly grant (1,575 / 1.50 = 1,050, and the other plans land on the printed integers). They are not the renewal-month ratio. After month one, the same grant costs the higher sticker, so credits per dollar fall. Plan the second month with the renewal price.
Credit-discount lines, which are not dollar discounts:
- Basic: save 43% credits on Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p.
- Standard and Advanced: save 57% credits on Seedance 2.5 at 720p, and 43% on Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p. GPT Image 2.5 is listed at save 60% credits.
- Ultra: save 76% credits on Seedance 2.5 at 720p, and 43% on Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p. GPT Image 2.5 is again listed at save 60% credits.
The FAQ says Dreamina has a free option for trying the tools with available credits. The number of free credits was not observed. Commercial use "depends on the applicable Dreamina terms, the content you create, and the models or assets involved." That is not a blanket commercial license.
CapCut's Seedance per-second lines, checked the same day, are a different ladder. Pro there showed Seedance 2.5 from $0.12/sec in the first month. Do not paste Dreamina's $0.04 floor onto a CapCut invoice. Read CapCut for that card.
Pros
- The creator entry is an official Seedance surface, and every paid card says so, which matters when a reseller's model name is ambiguous.
- The first-month and renewal prices are both printed, so you can see the jump from USD 1.50 to USD 15, or from USD 312 to USD 520, before you subscribe.
- The page estimates monthly output in ten-second videos (19, 48, 220, 737), which is a more useful planning unit than a raw credit integer.
- Image models are named on the same cards, so a faceless workflow can generate stills and motion without inventing a second vendor for the stills.
- Watermark removal, lip sync, higher frame rate, and a fast queue are written as benefits rather than left as unlabeled icons.
Cons
- Seedance is a model family. Dreamina is the app. People who wanted a CapCut-style timeline will not find one described on this pricing page.
- The hero says 90 percent off the first month, while three of the four cards say 40 percent off. The offer end date is 23 October, and this check is 16 October 2026, so the stickers are short-lived.
- Advanced's credit selector shows four sizes and one price. The price of 8.6K, 23.5K, and 35.5K was not on the extract.
- No public Dreamina or Seedance HTTP API, and no official MCP URL, was observed. A production pipeline cannot treat this app as the integration point.
- Free-tier credit count, maximum clip length, and a full per-resolution credit table were not on the pricing page. The "$0.04/sec" line is a floor, not a quote for your settings.
- Legacy "subscribe before 15 December 2025" image benefits are still printed. New accounts can misread them as current.
Usage flow
- Open Dreamina, pick the plan whose renewal price you can keep after 23 October 2026, and ignore the first-month sticker when you forecast month two.
- Generate the shots you cannot film, starting with the Seedance mode whose credit discount the card actually names, and download without the watermark only if that benefit is on your plan.
- Finish captions, pacing, and the vertical frame in CapCut or another editor. Dreamina's pricing page does not describe a full short-form timeline.
Workflow usage
On the faceless workflow (faceless), Dreamina is the generation step. A channel writes a shot list, produces the clips here, and leaves narration to ElevenLabs when the Seedance lip-sync pass is not the voice they want to publish. The page's ten-second estimate is a reasonable storyboard length for TikTok and Shorts, then the editor stacks those shots. This directory does not have a live workflow page at a /workflow/faceless route yet. The slug is the planning label.
Dreamina is not the captions-and-cover step (captions-cover) and it is not the long-to-short bench (long-to-short). Those stay in an editor. If the only Seedance use is a cutaway inside a video you already shot, CapCut's included credits may be the smaller bill. Compare the renewal prices, not the first-month teasers.
Underlying models
The pricing page names Seedance 2.5 and Seedance 2.0 Fast as the video modes attached to credit discounts, and it prints per-second floors for Seedance 2.5. Seedream 4.0, 4.1, and 4.5, plus Image 5.0, Image 4.6, and GPT Image 2.5, are the image names on the cards. Other Seedance versions that may exist in the product, including any 2.0 or Mini mode that CapCut sells under a different label, were not observed as a complete menu on this Dreamina pricing page. Do not assume the CapCut "Seedance 2.0 Mini" line is a Dreamina plan item.
API and MCP
A public Dreamina or Seedance HTTP API, with a ByteDance developer base URL and an auth scheme, was not observed on 2026-10-16. has_api is false. An official MCP server URL was also not observed. Pages that resell Seedance through another company's API are not this product's API, and their prices are not repeated here.
If the pipeline needs a key, generate Seedance through a vendor that documents one, such as Runway or Higgsfield, and treat that vendor's rate card as the price. Then keep Dreamina as the official consumer account when you want ByteDance's own plan.
Similar tools
- CapCut is the editor in the same corporate family and the right finish for captions. Its Seedance rates are a separate card.
- Kling is the closer match when you want Kuaishou's model and a prepaid API unit price. Kling's web membership is its own ladder.
- Runway runs Seedance beside Runway's own Gen-4.5 and other labs, with a documented API credit price of $0.01. Use it when the route is a developer project.
- Higgsfield also lists Seedance inside a multi-model studio. Use it to compare models. Use Dreamina when the requirement is official Seedance on Dreamina's own plan.
FAQ
Is Seedance a tool or a model?
Both words get used. Seedance is the model family. Dreamina is the English creator app this page verified. CapCut is the editor that meters Seedance as a credit feature. This directory lists Seedance as a tool entry so creators can find that split in one place.
Will the USD 1.50 Basic price last?
The page said USD 1.50 for the first month, then USD 15.00 per month, and the limited-time banner ends 23 October. The renewal price is the number to budget. The same pattern applies to Standard (USD 22 then USD 36), Advanced (USD 95 then USD 159), and Ultra (USD 312 then USD 520), checked on 2026-10-16.
Does Dreamina have an API or an official MCP server?
Not observed on 2026-10-16. There is no documented public API URL to put on this entry, and no official MCP endpoint was printed on the pages checked.
How many free credits do I get?
Not observed. The FAQ confirms a free option and does not state the credit amount. Paid grants are the figures above.
