Vidu

Vidu's Q4 video plans. Yearly Standard is $8.25/mo billed $99. Ultimate disagrees with itself: the card is $95.83/mo billed $1,150, and the compare table is $191.67/mo billed $2,300.

Vidu is a video generation product with Q4 on the plan cards, plus reference-to-video, image-to-video, and text-to-video in the product list. Checked on 2026-10-17, vidu.com/pricing shows a yearly toggle labeled 18% OFF and a monthly toggle beside it. The Ultimate plan is printed twice, at two prices, on that same page. This note reports both. It does not decide which one checkout will charge. API prices were not observed. The page is a selection note for YouTube, TikTok, and Shorts.

Who it's for

Vidu fits a faceless creator who wants a credit plan with a stated Q4 burn at 540p, a 3 to 16 second length line, and a commercial-use sentence on the paid cards. Standard is the first paid row. Premium adds an off-peak quota of 20 videos a day. The Ultimate card adds an off-peak quota of 200 videos a day. The matching path is faceless. A product shot that starts from a reference still can sit on UGC ads, then move to CapCut for captions.

A presenter library is HeyGen. A URL-to-ad cast is Creatify. A named voice is ElevenLabs. Kling's own ladder is Kling. Dreamina is Seedance. MiniMax's app, with a separate API rate, is Hailuo. Google's studio is Google Flow. A host that prices many labs in one credit is Runway, Higgsfield, or Pika.

Vidu is a weak fit if the budget has to survive contact with the compare table. Ultimate's card and Ultimate's compare row do not match on price or on credits. Quoting one of them as the plan, and dropping the other, would hide the conflict.

What it does

The product list names Vidu Q4, Vidu Q3, reference to video, image to video, text to video, reference to image, text to image, Vidu Agent, templates, and an API Platform link. The priced generation line on the cards is Q4 at 540p. Free uses 4 credits a second. Standard, Premium, and Ultimate use 2 credits a second. Paid cards say they support 3 to 16 second generation, up to 4 videos at once, a fast or ultra-fast channel, higher-quality encoding named H.265 Pro and H.264 Pro, and commercial use of generated content.

Free is $0, with the 4-credit rate and 10 references a month. It does not, on the card that was read, say commercial use, 3 to 16 seconds, or watermark removal. The compare section names 1080p video generation, 720p, 6 to 8 second generation, Vidu Q3 at 11 to 16 seconds, unlimited Q2 1080p image generation, off-peak mode, fast and ultra-fast channels, batch generation, ultra HD up to 4K, and download without watermark. The synthesis of this check treats download without watermark, 1080p, and up to 4K ultra HD as paid. The text extract does not draw a checkmark grid, so this page does not invent which paid tier starts 4K.

An editor timeline, burned-in captions, and a scheduler were not observed.

Pricing tiers

Verified on 2026-10-17 against vidu.com/pricing. Yearly cards first. The yearly toggle is labeled 18% OFF. Standard and Ultimate yearly cards also show a first-time banner of up to 17% off. Premium's first-time banner says up to 18% off. The monthly render did not repeat those first-time banner lines. The 18% label is a badge. It is not a clean discount off the monthly sticker: $10 times 0.82 is $8.20 — our arithmetic, not a Vidu sticker — and the yearly card prints $8.25. Budget the printed dollars.

Plan Yearly card Monthly card Credits on the card 100 credits, as printed
Free $0 $0 not observed as a monthly pool not observed
Standard $8.25/mo, billed yearly $99, beside monthly $10 $10/mo 800 Yearly view $1.03. Monthly view $1.25

Ultimate, plan card $95.83/mo, billed yearly $1,150, beside monthly $115 $115/mo Card text stacks 20,000, 10,000, and 10,000 credits monthly Yearly view $0.96. Monthly view $1.15
Ultimate, compare table $191.67/mo, billed yearly $2,300, beside monthly $230 $230/mo Compare credits row says 8,000 A 100-credit price was not observed on the compare row

Twelve times $8.25 is $99, which matches Standard's billed yearly total. Twelve times $35.42 is $425.04, and the card says billed yearly $425. Twelve times $95.83 is $1,149.96, and the card says $1,150. Twelve times $191.67 is $2,300.04, and the compare row says $2,300. The $425.04, $1,149.96, and $2,300.04 products are our arithmetic, not Vidu stickers. This page keeps the printed invoice line and does not "fix" the four-cent gaps.

The 100-credit lines match a specific reading of the card, and they reject the other readings. On the yearly Standard card, 100 divided by 800, times $8.25, is about $1.03, which is the printed line. Premium's $1.01 matches 100/3,500 times $35.42. Ultimate's $0.96 matches 100/10,000 times $95.83. It does not match 20,000 credits at $95.83, which would be about $0.48 per 100 credits — our arithmetic, not a printed Vidu line. It does not match the compare row's 8,000 credits at $191.67, which would be about $2.40 per 100 credits, also our arithmetic and not a printed line. The monthly Ultimate line of $1.15 matches 100/10,000 times $115, and it does not match 20,000 credits or the $230 compare price. The arithmetic picks out 10,000 as the denominator behind those two "100 credits" sentences. The card still prints 20,000 and a second 10,000 above that sentence, and the compare table still prints 8,000 and $191.67. Report all of them. Do not reconcile.

Other compare-row figures, in column order that follows Standard, then Premium, then Ultimate: 800 credits with "generate up to 200 videos", then 3,500 credits with off-peak 20 videos a day, then 8,000 credits with off-peak 200 videos a day. References read 10 a month, then 300 a month on the later columns. The free card itself says 10 references a month. Q4 at 540p is 4 credits a second on free and 2 credits a second on the paid cards.

A 3-second paid Q4 clip at 2 credits a second is 6 credits. A 16-second clip is 32 credits. Those two lengths are the bounds the paid cards print. At 6 credits, Standard's 800 credits cover 133 clips with 2 credits left. At 32 credits, they cover 25 clips. Premium's 3,500 credits cover 583 clips of 3 seconds with 2 left, or 109 clips of 16 seconds with 12 left. Those counts are directory arithmetic. Vidu did not print them. They also assume the 2-credit rate and no other spend. Off-peak video caps of 20 and 200 a day were not given a credit cost. Free's 4-credit rate makes the same 3-second clip 12 credits and the same 16-second clip 64 credits, and free's monthly credit pool was not observed, so those rates cannot be turned into a free monthly clip count. The 10 references a month are a separate cap.

Pros

  • Free, Standard, Premium, and the Ultimate card each print a dollar amount a reader can see without a sales call.
  • Standard's $8.25 monthly display times twelve equals the $99 billed yearly line.
  • Paid cards print a Q4 540p rate of 2 credits a second, a 3 to 16 second range, and a commercial-use sentence.
  • The yearly and monthly views each print a "100 credits" dollar, so a reader can see that the monthly toggle is a worse credit price than the yearly toggle on every paid tier.
  • The Ultimate conflict is on the same page, in public text, so a buyer can see it before paying.

Cons

  • Ultimate's card is $95.83 a month, billed $1,150, with monthly $115. The compare table is $191.67 a month, billed $2,300, with monthly $230. Both cannot be the charge. This page will not pick one.
  • Ultimate credits are stacked on the card as 20,000, 10,000, and 10,000, while the compare row says 8,000. The "100 credits = $0.96" line fits 10,000 credits at the card price and fits neither 20,000 nor 8,000.
  • The 18% OFF badge is not an exact 18% off the monthly sticker. First-time banners say up to 17% or 18% off and do not replace the printed price.
  • Free's monthly credit total, a watermark rule written on each card, and which tier starts 4K were not observed as clean per-plan sentences.
  • API Platform is a link. API prices, a docs URL, and an MCP server URL were not observed.

Usage flow

  1. Read Free as $0, Q4 540p at 4 credits a second, and 10 references a month. Read Standard as 800 credits, $10 on the monthly card or $8.25 a month billed $99 on the yearly card, Q4 540p at 2 credits a second, 3 to 16 seconds, and commercial use.
  2. Move to Premium when you need 3,500 credits or the 20-video off-peak day. Treat Ultimate as unresolved until checkout shows one price and one credit grant. The candidates on the page are the $95.83 / $1,150 card and the $191.67 / $2,300 compare row, with credit text of 20,000 / 10,000 / 10,000 on the card and 8,000 on the compare row.
  3. Finish the caption, the safe area, and the export in CapCut. If the shot has to be a person with a checked avatar plan, switch to HeyGen.

Workflow usage

On faceless, Vidu is the visuals step with one printed burn: Q4 at 540p, 2 credits a second on paid plans and 4 on free. A 16-second paid clip is 32 credits, and Standard's 800 credits cover 25 of those if nothing else is spent. Retry rules were not observed. 1080p and 4K are named without a credit rate, so they cannot be priced from the 2-credit line.

On UGC ads, reference to video and image to video are in the product list, and the paid cards say commercial use. Free lists 10 references a month. The compare row then prints 300. An actor and a product-URL import were not observed. Use Creatify or HeyGen for a cast, and CapCut on captions and covers. A clipper was not observed, so long-to-short stays elsewhere. A named read is ElevenLabs on voice and publish. A talking face is AI avatar, not this Q4 rate.

Underlying models

Vidu Q4 is the model on the credit rate. Vidu Q3 appears in the product list and in a compare row for 11 to 16 second video. Q2 appears as unlimited 1080p image generation in the compare section. No Q4 duration outside 3 to 16 seconds was printed on the paid cards. No resolution other than 540p was attached to the 2-credit and 4-credit rates.

This directory has no Vidu model page. Kling, Seedance, Veo, MiniMax Hailuo, and Luma Ray were not observed as Vidu's engines. A Vidu generation does not spend those wallets.

API and MCP

has_api is true because the pricing page links an API Platform, in the product navigation, on both the yearly and the monthly renders. The extract did not include a URL for that link, a base URL, an auth scheme, or a price, so this entry sets no api_url. Whether an API call spends the 800, 3,500, or Ultimate credits was not observed.

mcp.official is false. No official MCP server URL was observed, so there is no mcp.url.

For a video API with a stored price page, use Kling, Runway, Luma, or the MiniMax overview linked from Hailuo. A Vidu login does not authenticate those keys.

Similar tools

  • Hailuo prints yearly app cards and a separate MiniMax API rate. Google Flow prints Flow credit pools and no per-clip burn. Vidu prints a 2-credit Q4 rate and then contradicts itself on Ultimate.
  • Kling and Seedance are single-family memberships with their own ladders. Pika prints one spec at two credit burns. Runway and Higgsfield document an API.
  • HeyGen and Creatify are the cast. CapCut is the timeline. Luma is generation-first b-roll with an API price on its own page.

FAQ

Which Ultimate price is the real one?

The page prints two and this directory does not pick. The card is $95.83 a month, billed $1,150, with a monthly card of $115. The compare table is $191.67 a month, billed $2,300, with a monthly price of $230. Read the amount checkout charges.

How many credits does Ultimate include?

The card stacks 20,000, 10,000, and 10,000. The compare row says 8,000. "100 credits = $0.96" matches 10,000 credits at $95.83, and the monthly "$1.15" matches 10,000 at $115. Those sentences do not erase the other numbers.

Does the yearly toggle save 18%?

The toggle is labeled 18% OFF. Eighteen percent off Standard's $10 monthly card is $8.20 — our arithmetic, not the card. The yearly card prints $8.25, billed $99. Budget those printed dollars. First-time banners on the yearly cards say up to 17% or 18% off.

Does Vidu have API prices and an official MCP server?

API Platform is linked, so has_api is true. No price and no docs URL were copied, so there is no api_url. No MCP server URL was observed, so mcp.official is false.

Does free include a monthly credit pool?

A monthly credit total for free was not observed. The free card is $0, Q4 540p at 4 credits a second, and 10 references a month. Paid Q4 540p is 2 credits a second.
