What it is
Toc Toc Dance AI turns one photo of you, or of your pet, into the hop-and-knock dance set to Patrick Sébastien's song "Toc toc". You upload a full-body photo. You do not dance, and on the two templates below you do not write a prompt. The finished clip is a short vertical video: a deadpan dancer hops on one foot, raises a knee, and knocks the air with a fist as if a door were there.
The song is older than the dance. YouTube's page for "Toc toc" names Patrick Sébastien and the album Ça va bouger !, credits ℗ 2015 Faisage Music / Warner Music France, and prints a length of 3 minutes 32 seconds. The publish time in the page metadata is 2015-11-12T22:13:38-08:00, which is 13 November 2015 at 14:13 in Asia/Singapore. The YouTube upload is the recording. The posts below are other people's clips. This page includes no clip we made.
French news describes the same moves. On 24 September 2026, Lucie Tollon at 20 Minutes wrote that people hop on one foot in time and mime knocking on a door with a fist when the refrain "Toc, toc, on frappe à ma porte" hits. The article credits the choreography to the creator Nooah Prvv, and says non-French speakers nicknamed the song Kicékéla. That article embeds the ice-rink clip below, with the sound credit "Toc toc - Patrick Sébastien" and the tags #dc #fyp #iceskating.

The other wears a black suit and a reddish-brown bob. One knee is up and the fists reach forward. The audio was not transcribed.
NowStarring's hallway version is the one-photo path with the song already in the file. The product page says: march to the phone, knock on the lens, hop down the hallway, ta-da. MakeViral's page describes one-foot hops, a knee up, a fist that knocks on an invisible door, kicks, and a wide-arm finish. MakeViral also says many people call this the Jean Phil dance. That name is on their template. It is a label for these moves.

Where to make it

The line under the heading says: march to the phone, knock on the lens, hop down the hallway, ta-da. Send one photo of you or your pet. The form asks for the whole body, head to feet, and prints Video size Vertical 9:16. Quality shows Standard 480p and HD 720p. With Standard in that list, the page prints "One video uses 45 credits. You'll sign in to make it." Badges on the page: no watermark, with the Toc Toc song, a failed video costs nothing. The FAQ says a dog or a cat stands up and does the dance with its own paws, and that you do not need a video of yourself dancing.
The how-to, How to do the Toc Toc trend, says the dance is 11 seconds long and tells you to download the MP4 with the song and no watermark. That guide was marked updated 16 October 2026 on NowStarring's prompt page. The 11-second length is the how-to. The quality card is where 480p, 720p, and 9:16 are printed.
Packs on the product page, under "Or pay once", are $6.90 for 45 credits, $12.90 for 90, $34.90 for 270, and $64.90 for 540. The page says those credits never expire. Monthly plans on the same page: Starter is $19.90 for 270 credits and prints "Up to 6 videos a month or 3 in HD"; Creator is $29.90 for 450 credits and prints "Up to 10 videos a month or 5 in HD"; Studio is $89.90 for 1,800 credits and prints "Up to 40 videos a month or 20 in HD". Checkout is marked Stripe. A failed video gives its credits back. A separate credit total for one HD video was not observed. The prompt guide says one Standard video uses 45 credits, and that the smallest pack that makes one is $6.90 for 45 credits.

MakeViral
Use this when you want the reference reel's moves copied onto your photo, including a two-photo version or a pet version. You do not write a prompt if you tap the template.
Direct link: Toc Toc Dance AI. A GET on 2026-10-21 returned HTTP 200 and this page, with no redirect.
The heading is "Toc Toc Dance AI" and the subheading is "Do the Viral Jean Phil Dance From One Photo". The page says: one-foot hops with a knee up, a fist that knocks on an invisible door, kicks, and a wide-arm finish. Add a photo of you, of you and a friend, or of your pet, and get the dance with the sound. Badges: 1 photo you add, 10 to 11 s clip with sound, 9:16, no watermark, no prompt to write, from 40 credits.
The version table on the same page splits the price. Human is one photo, head to toes, Kling 3.0 Motion Control, 10 seconds, 720p, 9:16, 40 credits. The steps say that model takes the moves of the dance clip and plays them with the person in your photo, in your photo's own scene, for about 10 seconds, with the reel's original sound. Duo is two photos, Seedance 2.5, 11 seconds, 720p, 9:16, 168 credits: you start, and a friend joins. Pet is one photo of the whole animal, Seedance 2.5, 11 seconds, 720p, 9:16, 168 credits. The human prompt on the page says to animate exactly one adult dancer and to keep the face, hair, body, outfit, and shoes from the photo. A failed video gives its credits back. The page says the song belongs to its owners and that MakeViral gives you no rights to it.
The template prints no dollar total for 40 credits. On the pricing page, one-time packs start at $9.99 for 100 credits, then 150 for $14.99, 450 for $39.99, 850 for $69.99, and 1,900 for $149.99. The same page says new accounts start with 0 credits, so the smallest step is that $9.99 pack, and a failed video returns its credits. Weekly, Starter, and Pro plans are also printed there. They are not required for one template run.

Other platforms
Kling's video-effects HTML and Higgsfield's Genjutsu HTML had no Toc Toc preset on 2026-10-21. A CapCut template-detail URL for this dance was not observed that day. A price for this dance on Kling or Higgsfield was not observed.
Build the hallway version without those templates by pasting NowStarring's person prompt into an image-to-video tool, or by using motion control. The prompt guide names Kling, Higgsfield, Runway, Veo, or CapCut's AI video, set to a vertical frame. It also says those apps do not add the song: pick the Toc Toc sound when you post. NowStarring says it is an independent fan tool, not linked to the artist or the choreographer, and that the song belongs to its rights holders.
For motion control, open Kling AI Motion Control. The feature page says to upload a static character image and a motion reference video, optionally bind the face, then generate and export. The HTML fetched on 2026-10-21 names no Toc Toc preset and prints no price. Use a photo you may use, and a reference clip you may use. The person prompt from NowStarring's guide is this:
Vertical 9:16, 11 seconds, photoreal, one continuous shot with no cuts.
Use the person in my reference photo: keep their face, hair, body and clothes exactly.
Setting: a narrow, bare apartment hallway with off-white walls, a white door on the left, a low white chest of drawers and a light wooden floor. The phone lies on the floor at one end, tilted up, and never moves.
They dance with a deadpan face, bouncy and silly, every hop landing with both feet planted.
0–1 s: a high-knee march straight at the phone until their knees fill the frame.
1–2 s: they hop back so the whole body is in view and kick one foot forward.
2–3 s: on one foot, one knee raised, a loose fist knocking twice on an invisible door beside the head.
3–4 s: a bouncy shrug, arms out low, palms up.
4–5 s: a hop to turn side-on.
5–8 s: side-on, springy steps on the spot, then hops on one foot with the other heel kicked up behind.
8–9 s: a hop back to face the camera.
9–11 s: both arms flung open wide, one knee up, held still: ta-da.
Sound: a bouncy French party song with a strong, steady beat.
Avoid: sliding feet, camera moves, cuts, extra people, text on screen.
The same guide has a cat-or-dog prompt. It asks for hind legs, real paws, and planted hops. Use that block when the photo is a pet. The guide's URL is the prompt page linked above.
Three steps
Use a one-photo template when you want the moves and, on these two sites, the sound, without writing a prompt.
- Tool — Open Toc Toc on NowStarring or Toc Toc Dance on MakeViral. On MakeViral, leave Human selected for one person. Choose Duo or Pet only when you have the matching photos. If you are not on either template, open Kling Motion Control or paste the hallway prompt into Kling or Higgsfield.
- Input — Upload one full-body photo you are allowed to use: head to feet, facing the camera, in clear light. On NowStarring, pick You or Your pet. On MakeViral Human, use one adult, standing, head to toes. Duo takes two photos, one person each. Pet takes one photo of the whole animal. On the templates you do not paste a prompt. On Kling or Higgsfield, paste the prompt above, or upload that still plus a reference clip you are allowed to use.
- Export — Download the vertical file. NowStarring prints 9:16, Standard 480p or HD 720p, and 45 credits on the Standard line checked on 2026-10-21. The how-to says 11 seconds, with the song and no watermark. MakeViral Human prints about 10 seconds, 720p, 9:16, and 40 credits, with the reel's sound put back on. Duo and Pet print 11 seconds and 168 credits. If the generator is silent, add the Toc Toc sound in the app where you post.
Before you post
Post a photo you have the right to use, label the clip as AI, and treat "Toc toc" as someone else's recording.
- Likeness — Get permission before you put a real person's face and body into the dance. NowStarring's form says that by continuing you confirm you have the right to use the photo. MakeViral's human prompt says to animate exactly one adult and to keep that person's face, hair, body, and clothes. Use a pet photo only when you may use that photo. The pet prompts ask for the animal's own paws. Skip strangers, celebrities, and anyone who has not agreed.
- AI label — Label the post where the platform asks. YouTube requires creators to disclose AI-generated or altered content that seems realistic, including content that makes a real person appear to say or do something they did not do, and content that generates a realistic scene that did not occur. This clip does that: the photo subject appears to perform the hop and the knock. The help page is Disclosing use of GenAI content.
- Rights — The song belongs to its rights holders. NowStarring says it is an independent fan tool, not linked to the artist or the dance's creator. MakeViral says the template gives you no rights to the song and tells you to check the rules before an ad or a paid post. A template that puts the sound back on is still using that recording. If you build the clip with motion control, the reference video needs its own permission. If the file is silent, pick the Toc Toc sound when you post.

FAQ
Can I make this without a dedicated template?
Yes. Paste the hallway prompt from Where to make it into an image-to-video tool set to vertical 9:16, or upload one still and a reference clip to Kling Motion Control. NowStarring's prompt guide says those apps leave the file silent, so add the Toc Toc sound when you post. The guide says one Standard video on NowStarring's own page uses 45 credits. A price for the same dance inside Kling or Higgsfield was not observed on 2026-10-21.
What do I need to upload?
One full-body photo for NowStarring and for MakeViral Human or Pet. Two photos for MakeViral Duo, one person in each. Face the camera, keep the head and the feet in frame, and use even light. You do not upload a video of yourself dancing on those templates. A pet photo should show the whole animal. The pet prompts ask the model to keep real paws.
Does the clip include the song?
On NowStarring, yes. The product page and the how-to say the song is already in the MP4. On MakeViral, the page says the clip comes with the sound of the reel it copies, put back on after the run, and that this does not give you rights to the song. On a general image-to-video app, NowStarring's prompt guide says the app does not add the song. Pick the Toc Toc sound when you post.
Is the Jean Phil dance a different trend?
MakeViral's template uses that name for these moves. The heading calls it the Jean Phil dance, and the body says many people call it that. The same page says Jean Phil, or Jean Philanthrope, is an AI character whose first video went up on Instagram on 17 September 2026. The Instagram post was not opened here. The moves printed on the template are the one-foot hop, the knee, the fist knock, the kicks, and the wide-arm finish, to the Toc Toc beat. Use the hop and the knock as the dance.
